Why be more mindful? (it's more then just beeing quiet)
Mindfulness is an increasingly popular concept, but one that is often misunderstood. It's about more than just being still and meditating - it's about developing a greater awareness of the present moment and your thoughts, feelings, and body sensations. This can have a profound effect on our mental health and well-being, as we learn to pay attention to our own needs in order to make better choices throughout the day. Mindfulness doesn't come naturally, however. It is a skill that must be developed and practiced in order to reap the rewards. Mindfulness helps us become more aware of our own needs and those of others, and make decisions with greater clarity and understanding. It gives us the ability to recognize unhealthy patterns of behavior before we act on them. Mindful thinking also leads to greater self-confidence because it teaches us to trust our own feelings and opinions more than those of other people When we are mindful, we can better appreciate the beauty of life - even when things don't go according to plan . We learn to regulate our emotions instead of letting them get out of control, and so we can remain calm even in difficult situations.
