Wonderful, bright colours, beautifully to be seen – this is how we know and love flowers.

And flowers without their colours are only half as beautiful – right?

No, I don’t think so…

Flowers can have their own beauty and fascination even without colour.

Light, essence of our life, makes these flowers shine and shows their wonderful structures.

The simplicity of a single blossom can be beautiful and powerful at the same time.

Do not always let yourself be guided or “impressed” only by the first impression. Instead, seek beauty in simplicity and behind the obvious.

This image, a gerbera, is part of my series “luminous blossoms”. Held in black and white I want to show the power of simplicity and the beauty of nature’s structures.

The Gerbera, by the way, is a plant that remains open to the sun. It loves the sun and the light and is a symbol of joy, smile and fun at the same time.
